Oh man am I a sucker for good, no bullshit, loud, simple indie rock. Broken Water hail from Olympia, Washington and they sound like it. Hold on, wait… that’s a good thing. They kinda sound like what I imagine growing up in Seattle must have been like, say, circa 1989/1990 (also a good thing)! Maybe even earlier, like being 14/15 and sneaking into a local show and discovering music that literally changes your life, yeah that’s what it’s like. Oh the good old days. The trio consist of Jon Hanna (guitar), Kanako Wynkoop (drums) both formerly of the band ‘Sisters’ and Abigail Ingram (bass) who all have the job of providing vocals. Thank you Broken Water for carrying the torch or rather the spirit of the nineties!
