DRT is half of 16 Bit, one of West London’s 2-step badboys (not the 80s band). I haven’t heard much of DRT’s music, but what I have heard sounds more dubsteppy than the 16 Bit stuff.  According to his myspace page he’s too busy making remixes and that’s why I think we haven’t heard many DRT originals. However, the original version of DRT’s Rising Sun is awesome and hasn’t gotten nearly a fraction of  the recognition as its remix by The Boo-ga-loo Crew.

Now  The Boo-ga-loo Crew is fucking fantastic (off of Trouble & Bass Recordings). They have some really sick remixes under their belt (from Jose Gonzales to Stevie Nicks) and they don’t really limit themselves to dubstep at all. Their music touches on everything from electro to tech house, but this does not delegitimize their dubstep in any way. Their shit sounds mean.

I’m not very well versed in the ways of Dubstep, but I can tell this song stands apart from the rest of the stuff I keep hearing.

Dale 😉
