Dreamhouse a.k.a. Pal Joey

June 28, 2010

Fresh house music from 1990! Here we have an amazing composition by Dreamhouse, just one of dozens of aliases of New York City producer Pal Joey.  From tweeking the knobs for KRS-1 and Boogie Down Productions to cutting up beats on reel-to-reel for Sade, Joseph Longo is known for remixing just about everything for everyone during the early 90’s. Upon further investigation I found that much like Larry Levan, Joey was pretty much responsible for the success of countless artists with his re-working of their titles. Don’t believe me? Check out his website and take a peek at his discography. With all that said, “I Can Feel It” is easily one of the most inspiring New York House tracks I have ever heard.
