Pilooski <3 Nora Dean

June 2, 2010

Nora Dean was a Jamaican vocalist born in 1952 who recorded solo as well as with The Ebony Sisters, The Soul Sisters and The Soulettes.  Though very little biographical information is available, her songs are remembered among fans of Jamaican music as reggae classics.

Haunting, eerie Jamaican psyc-roots classic. The 45 was originally released in 1969 on Treasure Isle records and has just been re-released.  You can buy it now at Phonica Records.  Our buddy Pilooski used this track as the source material for his Rvng release, AAA.
