Mock & Toof

May 24, 2010

London based Mock & Toof, Duncan Stump (Mock) and Nick Woolfson (Toof), have remixed a serious amount of reputable artists such as The Juan Maclean, Hot Chip, Ladyhawke, Scissor Sisters, Holy Ghost, Groove Armada, and Zero 7 to name a few. The list of labels they’ve worked with also goes on and on (DFA, Tiny Sticks, Mule Empty Edits, Musiq, Rvng Intl…) and they’ve been actively releasing stuff since 2005.

Five years of collaborations, remixes, and lesser-known groundwork have lead up to the release of their new LP Tuning Echoes. The album is everything you would expect from Mock & Toof including very experimental soundscapes, analog/ organic elements, disco tendencies, playfulness, and vocals by Pollyester. Look out for Tuning Echoes on iTunes and sample some other tracks below:

Tracks:

Mock & Toof – Farewell to Wendo

Mock & Toof – Tight Humps

Mock & Toof – Digit 3

Hot Chip – Over and Over [Mock & Toof dub mix]
