Acid Washed
Ok, I finally fully understand the name Acid Washed especially after watching one of the band’s videos (by Anthony Burrill) – sharp, clean, and colorful just like their music and one of my occasional acid flashbacks. There’s definitely a disco, post-punk, 80s thing going on in there with hints of pop and bits of corniness.
Acid Washed is collaboration between 2 french guys (Richard d’Alpert and Andrew Claristidge) and a whole slew of interesting industry folk – Xaver Naudascher & Gavin Russom (Death From Abroad/Supersoul/DFA), Christophe Chassol (Sébastien Tellier, Phoenix), Christian Kreuz (Get Physical), Arnaud Rebotini/Blackstrobe, Turzi (Record Makers), Lippie, Barbara Panther, Alan Gay, King of Kong (Max Skiba & Artur 8). Good mix… no pun intended
They’re trying to be all secretive and mysterious from what I’ve read so we can’t say much more. Basically another enigmatic French Nu Disco/ electronic duo.
