I’m not sure what the proper term for this type of music is but I’m assuming it’s something along the lines of Cumbiatron or Chucuteca? Maybe? No se.
Anyway, Maria Y Jose or Antonio Jiménez and Peluza Puente from Tijuana Mexico call it “Maravilloso sonido tropical” and it really is. It’s latin, bassy, housey, and “Tropicool”. I’ve been rocking their single “Kibose” at clubs lately and people really seem to get down to it. I don’t see any US show dates on their website yet, but hopefully people will catch on to them soon.
